Skin Peeling Oil Review

Did you know that you can use a skin peeling oil to whiten your skin as fast as one week? Yes, you heard that right – 1 week. Watch my skin peeling oil before and after video to see for yourself.

The video in this post is my review of Marie France Macroexfoliator skin peeling oil. I’ve used this skin peeling oil before on my inner thighs and butt area and it made a big difference in my skin (read my post about bikini whitening here).

Anyway, I recently tried to use this skin peeling oil on my legs to remove razor bumps and to see if it’s going to lighten my skin. I was thinking that this peeling oil is only good for whitening areas like buttocks, inner thighs and underarms, but I was wrong.

I would recommend this skin peeling oil to everyone who would like to remove razor bumps, scars or if you just want to totally whiten your skin. Remember that you can peel your whole body with this peeling oil. But since the bottle is very small, you may need to get 3-4 bottles to get all the areas peeled.

One thing I need to tell you is that I didn’t use this peeling oil per instructions. I figured that the leg area has thicker skin so instead of using the peeling oil 3x a day, I used it 6x a day instead. I basically doubled the use to make sure that it will peel the skin. Please watch my video and let me know what you think.

Hey Ella. That’s what they call hyperpigmentation. It’s very common to asians, african-americans and hispanics. I would suggest using a whitening soap, scrub and cream on it but not the peel because it sometimes doesn’t work on hispanic skin. Do you have a thigh gap?

hi. just want to ask if its okay to try first the kojic soap before using the macroexfoliator? coz my butt is not that dark so im thinking that maybe the kojic soap can work it out. if not, after how many days or months can i take tha macroexfoliator if i already use the soap? thank you 🙂

Hello. I think that’s a great idea but make sure that you follow it with a whitening cream or lotion to make it more effective. You can use the Macro but you have to give your skin at least 2 weeks rest from the soap before using the oil.

    Hi Taylor!

Thanks a lot for sharing – very useful! I have been looking for a long time for products to treat dark inner thighs, butt and knees. Your results look very promising. My inner thighs are 4-5 shades darker whereas butt and knees are about 2 shades darker. I have a few questions for you before I buy the product:

    1) The peeling oil (15ml) bottle is enough for one session (3 days) – inner thighs, butt (and maybe knees)? Just wondering what quantity I should buy upfront.
    2) On inner thighs and butt, is it okay to use peeling more more than 3 times per day? (for better results) or is that too much? Except for my face, I have not had any skin issues on the rest of my body due to sensitivity.
    3) You said the while using peeling oil there should be minimal walking, else it doesnt work. Does it mean that one should be at home for 3 days? Is it okay to go for work etc?
    4) Is it alright to only use kojic soap for maintenance? I usually go for shea butter or coconut oil as moisterising lotion.

I am hoping product would do the magic for me, as its quite embarrassing otherwise (especially in summers). Thanks a lot!

HI Neha! Here are the answers:

      1. If you include your knees, you may want to buy 2 bottles.
      2. No.
      3. It’s ok to do work of course but the thing is, you cannot do a lot of walking nor wear tight clothes as it can rub against the skin. It could cause hyper pigmentation in the area.
      4. Love kojic soap + shea butter! Perfect combo!

Note that the most important thing that you need to understand is that there’s no such thing as “magic” when it comes to skin lightening. It’s a gradual process and you need to be patient about it.

        Hi Taylor,

I have a follow up question.

I did the 3 day peeling process for inner thighs/ butt / knees/ underarms and finished it on saturday (Oct 3) – I actually stayed home – very minimal walking 🙂

Now I notice that the areas where I applied oil is quite red (which is okay). Its been one day since I stopped using the peeling oil. There’s only very slight ichting (due to redness i believe) and i am applying petroleum jelly for it which makes me feel much better. Please note that I am following directions to full – no soap/loofah/lotion on treated area.

However, I noticed that my inner thighs only (not anywhere else) – the red area looks a bit darker as well (maybe just one shade). Is this normal?

Maybe this is the hyperpigmentation that I read in the directions? Or it could just be that my dark inner thighs (which are 2-3 shades darker) just look a but darker due to redness. Either ways, i thought I should write to you and get your opinion – There is no burn/ extensive itching or any major problem.

I live in cold area (its 11 degress here) so I cannot really wear flowy summer clothes to work. But i do make sure i am not wearing skin tight jeans nor that I walk a lot. But I still have to cover my legs and walk a bit at work – so there will be some friction (i try to minimise as much)

I am hoping, that in worst case, if it is hyperpigmentation – that it will get okay with using kojic soap after the skin has peeled. I’m a bit worried.

How will I know if it is indeed hyperpigmentation? If yes, kojic soap should make it alright later on? (i really hope so)

Let me know! Thanks as always!

        Quite worried, Neharika

Hello Neha. I did experience the same thing and the darkness went away after the skin has started peeling. Please avoid friction at all cost. Make sure that you use a lot of Vaseline in the area before putting your clothes (pants) on until the skin is completely healed. If it’s hyperpigmentation, the kojic soap would lighten it. No worries.

I m an Indian. How many times should I use d peeling oil? Is 2 application at an interval of 10 min. In d morning sufficient?

    • June 22, 2015 at 10:02 pm

Try once a day first. Your skin might be too sensitive for the oil.

im 17 years old and since i was 15 i have really dark spots on my bikini line and with the time i feel like it got worst , I was wondering if i can use the peeling or you recommend something else. Its really bad , like 2 days after shaving it hurst and all , this make me feel really uncomfortable about myself to the point i cant wear bikinis cause of it . I really need help like I’m getting desperate.

    • June 16, 2015 at 12:51 am

I would not suggest the peeling oil since your skin sounds very sensitive. Why not try the whitening kojic soap, scrub and creme together? It’s probably going to work better for you.

I’m wondering if I did something wrong.
Is the skin supposed to feel slightly raw? Because I’m wondering if I gave myself a chemical burn.
I used it on my buttocks with just average results. I think another session may be required because the area was SO dark. Speaking of which, the areas that have peeled range from a reddish-brown to purplish color (with red undertones). Is this normal for a woman with brown skin and a buttocks that was practically BLACK (LOL)? I’m concerned that I’ve messed up somehow….

    • AS
      June 2, 2015 at 2:19 pm

      Just a follow-up:

The raw areas have scarred over. Chemical burn. I considered the possibility given that hair-removal creams typically burn me. The burned areas are large but no longer tender, and the skin is still one shade lighter, but I think I’ll just use the soap and crème to finish the job.

      • June 22, 2015 at 10:10 pm

If you’ve experienced chemical burn from hair removal creams before, then it only means that your skin is extremely sensitive. But it’s good that it’s lighter compared to how it looked before. How does the skin look right now?

    • June 22, 2015 at 10:10 pm

No, your fine. Did you see my pics? My inner thigh were solo red.

    Thank you.

    • May 3, 2015 at 4:39 pm

You cannot use it on your face and neck. However, you can use it on your feet, hands, elbows and knees. Try using it once a day first and see how it goes.

Hi, Im 20 years old and have a pretty dark buttocks and inner thighs compared to my skin tone which is like slightly lighter than a medium tan, i also have stretch marks which run through them areas which make it look, pretty bad as you can imagine, would you recommend myself to purchase MARIE FRANCE BUTT, INNER THIGHS AND BIKINI WHITENING KIT FOR EXTREMELY DARK AREAS and if so, when the skins fully peeled the first time, will my natural skin tone colour show after healing or still a darker colour, im meaning to say is the discoloration only on the top layer of skin, and will the peel remove it?

    • May 3, 2015 at 4:53 pm

I would suggest for you to use it on the inner thighs and buttocks area. The skin will probably get a shade or two lighter than its current color. If the skin that you’re trying to peel is way too darker than your normal skin tone, then you might need to redo the peeling after 4 months or so but it’s recommended for you to use the soap and creme after the skin is fully healed to continue or keep up the lighter skin tone.

Hi, I know you’re probably tired of seeing me comment but I want to use the peeling oil on my stomach , back and butt but I’ve heard many stories of people saying they’ve been burned or the skin darkened even after following directions. Any advice on how to prevent that ? Also how long until I can go back in the sun ? How long until I can use soap ? And can I start of using the kojicsoap after it has peeled or a normal soap? ( I’m African American id that helps with the first question about darkening.) last question how do I make the results permanent ?

    • March 28, 2015 at 9:28 pm

My advice is to follow the after0care directions and not just the directions on how to use it. WAIT until the skin is completely healed before using any kind of products on your skin unless it’s a very mild, non-alcohol soap. There’s really no way to make the results permanent but you can prevent the dark skin from coming back if you regularly use the soap and creme in the area.

How long did you wait after shaving or waxing to do this treatment or would you not recommend hair removal until after the treatment?

    • March 14, 2015 at 8:52 pm

48 hours. I would honestly advice to wait for a month after the skin is completely healed before doing a hair removal treatment. I’m assuming that we’re talking about waxing/laser, correct?

I used the oil, it did make my skin peel and some areas are lighter, the real inner parts of my thighs have gone a real dark reddy brown colour and I was wondering if that would fade and if maybe that is just still not healed. What can I do? I feel really embarrassed about it and need it to go within 2 weeks as I will be showing my thighs off?? Please help!!!! 🙁

    • January 3, 2015 at 2:27 am

Yes, that’s normal but please avoid walking too much or any kind of activities and tight clothing as it may cause severe friction. Remember that friction is the main cause of skin darkness.

  17. October 29, 2014 at 6:06 pm

Can’t you scrub the soap on your face?

    • November 11, 2014 at 2:46 am

You can use the soap on your face but you should not scrub it too hard. You do not want to irritate your skin by doing so.

  18. October 29, 2014 at 6:04 pm

Hi I’m a new customer and was wondering if there was a way that I can’t remove the dark skin around my bikini line.I believe I’ve used the peeling oil wrong.Or removed it to quickly. It caused burns and redness. Also can’t you bade with the soap?

    • November 11, 2014 at 2:47 am

While on the 3-day treatment and the peeling stage, you should avoid using the soap. You should use it only after the skin is completely healed.

I used this product on my inner thighs, vag and bum two weeks ago, but the areas seem even darker than before, which is very upsetting. I did exactly like I was supposed to, so I don’t understand why this has happened. How long was it before your skin became lighter?

    • September 25, 2014 at 11:08 pm

Mine became lighter immediately after it started peeling. There are a lot of possible reasons why you didn’t get the desired results. Most common reasons are:

      1. You have very sensitive skin and you applied the oil 6x a day instead of 3x. If you’ve done this, there’s a big possibility that you will irritate your skin and it will cause hyper pigmentation (darker skin).

      2. You wore tight clothing while the skin was peeling – if you wore tight jeans while the skin was peeling, you’ve just caused a big problem. Constant friction is a big no-no when doing a chemical peel in your inner thighs and butt area.

      3. You walked too much – friction is a big no-no while the skin is peeling. Too much friction while the skin is trying to shed old skin will cause skin darkness.

      4. You used a soap or the kojic soap and creme right after the skin was done peeling. You should have waited for it to completely heal before using these products are it can cause irritation that will lead to skin darkening.

      I hope this helps.

Hello I have been looking for something since I was 16 I’m now in my mid 20s and I’m ecstatic that I found this my question is how much maintenance is needed after peeling the skin and do I need to be worried bout my skin going back to its dark color in my months and years to come? Biggest concern.

    • September 25, 2014 at 11:12 pm

You will need to use the kojic soap and the creme everyday for maintenance and that’s how I do it. So far, the skin has not gone back to the old color.

    • August 28, 2014 at 2:34 pm

Hello. If you’re talking about the Butt Whitening Kit, it will last for a month (soap and creme). The peeling oil that comes with it only lasts for 3 days (peeling session.) Not sure if it would work on your stretch marks though. Please try and let us know. For your face and neck, you can use the soap, creme and scrub (neck) to whiten it.

    • August 27, 2014 at 1:11 am

Hi im pretty much new to lightening due to the fact that im only 17 and I was just wondering if this would get me at least a shade lighter. My problem is my stomach, legs, feet, back and butt are darker than my face, chest , inner arms and my calves due to the fact I never really used skin protection as a kid. Ive used lightening creams and exfoliating soap but I feel I might be better off just peeling and using sunscreen. Also what is a good way to hide the peeling since im going to school in a week.

    • August 22, 2014 at 11:51 pm

Yes, this will give you the result that you mentioned. However, I’m concerned because you’re only 17, which means that your skin is way too young to get into chemical peels. Another concern I have is the fact that you have to go to school. The kit does work but there are certain things that you can’t do when you’re doing the treatment. For instance, you cannot do physical activities while on the treatment. I would strongly suggest to try use the following products from Marie France: kojic soap, creme, scrub and lotion.

Yes, I do. I use their whitening scrub and lotion and that’s what makes it look even.

  27. Tori
    May 10, 2014 at 11:27 am

My natural skin color is light brown, the color of my legs however the rest of my body is much darker and doesn’t go back to my natural color in winter; so my body has about 5 different colours on it… If I use this macroexfoliator will it work of removing the darkened skin to the color of my legs? Or do I have to do many processes of it to lighten it?

    • May 11, 2014 at 4:11 am

It would take quite a few peels before it goes back to your natural color. However, what I would suggest is to use the Marie France Kojic Soap and Tone Perfecting Lotion while you’re waiting for your next peel, which is about 3-4 months after the last time your skin has peeled. Also, do you stay under the sun all the time?

      • Tori
        May 11, 2014 at 8:54 am

Yeah I do tend to be in the sun everyday, but only my face, neck and arms are exposed. And I have to wait 3 months if I want to peel the same area again?

        • May 11, 2014 at 9:29 pm

Correct. You have to give your skin sometime to recuperate after every peeling session.

Hi Taylor I’m a newbie on the blog , thanks for sharing but can you please tell me about the application of the oil in between do u take a bath then apply or you just applied without bathing, another question is what else did you use in conjunction with the oil sorry for 21 questions I’m really excited about this thinking of placing an order for scars on my leg. Thanks dear

    • April 13, 2014 at 5:14 pm

No, I applied without bathing for 3 days. I didn’t use anything else while I’m using the oil for 3 days, however, I use the kojic soap and the tone perfecting lotion after the skin has peeled to keep the lighter skin. In addition, I also prevent myself from being under the sun.

      • April 13, 2014 at 6:25 pm

Thanks doll for shating ,care to share your regime and how are you willing to maintain it.One gets panicky when the big day is around the corner, where can I get this and how much it cost?

        • April 14, 2014 at 10:19 pm

I’m using the kojic soap and the Tone Perfecting Lotion everyday. My skin hasn’t gone back to the original color. It’s still lighter like how it looked a few days after the skin peeled.

          • April 15, 2014 at 12:06 am

Ok that’s promising results will get the package, though my face doesn’t get light quick enough with lighting products, what do you suggest I use? Thanks a mill

            • April 15, 2014 at 1:09 am

I think you should use the Marie France toner, kojic soap and creme on your face. My favorite is the toner – it removes my small pimple bumps and it also minimizes my pores. When it comes to the whitening effect – I can tell that my face has lightened a lot. Beware that you should also use this on your neck because one of my classmates asked me why my face is so white compared to the rest of my body (i only used the products on my face before) lol….
